2019年11月27日,应Francesco Faiola研究员邀请,来自西班牙国立圣地亚哥大学(Universidade de Santiago de Compostela)的Miguel Fidalgo教授和Diana Guallar教授到生态环境研究中心访问并分别作了题为《Circadian clock-independent functions of BMAL1 in regulation of pluripotent stem cells differentiation》和《Loss of A-to-I RNA editing activity impairs mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition by aberrant activation of Endoplasmic Reticulum stress》的学术报告。
On November 27, 2019, on behalf of SKLECE, Prof. Francesco Faiola invited Miguel Fidalgo and Diana Guallar, two prestigious professors from Universida de Santiago de Compostela, Spain, to visited Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS. Professors from both sides exchanged views on the current situation of stem cell research, and Spanish professors gave academic seminars on current research hot topics.
In the meeting, Prof. Faiola introduced the two Spanish professors’ background and current status, then followed by two wonderful talks: “circadian clock-independent functions of BMAL1 in regulation of pluripotent stem cells differentiation”, and “loss of A-To-I RNA editing activity impairs mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition by aberrant activation of endoplasmic reticulum stress”. The two Spanish professors introduced the frontier research of stem cell molecules in a simple way. The participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the two Spanish professors.
After the seminars, the two Spanish professors briefly introduced the current situation and future trend of stem cell development in Europe, and encouraged interested students to conduct post-doctoral research in Europe in the future. Founded in 1495, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela has a long history of more than 500 years and enjoys a reputation in biology, medicine, law, linguistics and other fields.
