International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances

Persistent Toxic Substances (PTS) are receiving world-wide attention due to their high resistance to degradation, high bioaccumulation, and long-term toxicity to the environment and human health. Substantial progress has been made on the understanding of environmental processes and toxicity, as well as on the development of innovative technologies for contamination control and remediation of PTS. This symposium, organized by State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology and chaired by Professor Guibin Jiang, is a continuous effort to provide a forum encouraging interdisciplinary discussion and information exchange between environmental scientists from different parts of the world.
