Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Developing Countries, analytical chemistry, environmental chemist. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Shandong University in January 1982, and received his master's and doctoral degrees from the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1987 to 1991. From 1989 to 1991 and 1994 to 1996, he was a visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher at the National Academy of Canada and the University of Antwerp, Belgium, respectively. He is currently the director of the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology, the vice chairman of the Chinese Chemical Society, the vice chairman of the Chinese Toxicology Society, the director of the Environmental Chemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and the chairman of the Beijing Chromatographic Society. In 2005, he was entrusted and led by the American Chemical Society to establish the Asian Office of the internationally renowned magazine ES&T, and was independently responsible for the review and acceptance of manuscripts from all over the world. The research fields involve chemical forms, analytical instruments, environmental processes and toxicology, and environmental applications and effects of nanomaterials. Proposed and promoted the research of my country's persistent toxic pollutants. He is the chief scientist of the two-phase POPs 973 project, the head of the major fund and innovation group of the National Foundation of China, a member of the National 973 Advisory Group, a member of the expert group of the National Nano Major Research Program, and the National Environment Member of the Advisory Committee, member of the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Expert Committee, etc. Participated in my country's Antarctic and Arctic scientific expeditions. He has published more than 600 papers in foreign SCI journals, and has been invited to give conference reports or specially invited reports more than 400 times at important academic conferences and famous universities at home and abroad. Two graduate students trained have won one hundred excellent papers nationwide, and have won various outstanding graduate tutor awards six times. He won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1998, the Young Scientist Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001, and the University Fellow of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2008. In 2003 and 2011, he won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award as the first person in 2003 and in 2007. Yangtze River Scholar Achievement Award, received Agilent’s "Thought Leadership Award" in 2013, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award in the name of the POPs research group in the same year, and the "Outstanding Guest Professor" of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2014. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009, and an academician of the Academy of Sciences for Developing Countries in 2012.
