  • Analytical Methodology and Environmental Process of POPs

    Introduction

           Our research group focus on:

    (1) Analytical methodology development of dioxins (PCDD/Fs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and other emerging persistent organic pollutants.

    (2) Studies on levels and Distribution of persistent organic pollutants in typical city area,  

    pollution area as well as the Polar Regions to find out their local pollution pattern and historical evolution trend.
    (3) Effect of environmental pollution on human health.

     

    We have high resolution gas chromatograph coupled to high resolution mass spectrometers (HRGC/HRMS), gel permeation chromatograph (GPC), accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), high-volume air samplers and other advanced scientific instruments, and can carry out POPs analysis studies according to international standards.
